OverviewThe Gordon Ranch archery hunts will be conducted during September in the heat of the rut. We have archery hunted this ranch each season since 2005 with the exception of 2008. The ranch has produced 100% success each season. TacticsMost hunting days will begin with glassing from one of the ranch’s vantage points trying to locate a good bull. Spot-and-stalk tactics can be used but, due to the timing of the archery hunts with the rut, calling is a more important tactic. In the evenings, hunting the strategically located water on the ranch has been extremely productive. |

Gordon Ranch Archery ReferencesGreg Jochem (2005), HI 808-520-6433 “Good bulls! Enough said.” Jeff Glaser (2006), MI 269-663-7001 “It took me longer to eat breakfast than it did to arrow a bull!” Darrell Haeker (2007), MO 806-233-5630 “On Elite’s web page everyone states that you have to be in the very best of physical condition. I proved that even at 65 years old, you can still hunt with Elite if you are in good condition. What a hunt! What great guides! The accommodations are excellent. It is very obvious that Elite Outfitters mean what they say about their hunts and their guides. I won’t hesitate for a second to go again. Fulfill your dreams and book a hunt with Elite.” Mike Unruh (2009), MT 406-539-7537 “To be completely honest, I’m biased toward Johnny, Denise and everyone at Elite Outfitters. Johnny and I have been close friends for a long time. If you have a passion for hunting and the outdoors and want to be considered hunting partners with your guide, you will make new friends on your hunt. The Gordon Ranch is a unique place. Gordon is a very welcoming person who wants you to be successful. Plus, he knows elk! The hunting can be hard, hot and long or it can be quick and seem almost easy. Much of that can depend on your goals. There are some amazing bulls that use the ranch. You need to be prepared to be patient and dedicated to your goal. You have a great chance at a huge bull on this ranch. I had some really tough weather, full moon and bad luck this year. After 8 full days of hunting alone, I killed a nice 6×6. It just wasn’t the 350 bull I was after. That’s how it goes. Think about this…..I get to hunt just north of Yellowstone Park on a resident tag every year. Yet, I spent my time and money to hunt this ranch. That should say something.” 2013 Gordon Ranch Hunt Prices6-Day Archery Elk Hunt $8,900 (1 on 1) 2013 Gordon Ranch Seasons6-Day Archery Elk Hunts Sep 17-22, 2011 2013 Gordon Ranch License FeesLandowner Permit Elk License – Archery – $576 Information LinksFor policies information “Click Here” For archery equipment information “Click Here” For contract and booking information “Click Here” Click on the Links below to continue looking at other Ranch-Hunt InformationGordon Ranch – Rifle Elk Hunting
