The draw-elk hunts include all meals, field accommodations and transportation, packing of gear and trophies, in-field game care and guide fees. All 2 on 1 hunts require booking 2 hunters. If you apply for a 2 on 1 hunt as a single and Elite is unable to book another single, 2 on 1 hunter, you will be required to book a 1 on 1 hunt. On all hunts, your total costs will include, 1) the price of the hunt, 2) the cost of the hunting license, 3) transportation to/from the hunt location, 4) applicable sales tax & 5) gratuities. All hunt dates and camp locations are tentative and subject to change due to weather and regulatory or schedule changes. Please read the Policies Page.
Step 3 - To Apply for a Draw Elk Hunt:
Please enclose a personal check for $500, for each hunter, as a deposit on the hunt. Each hunter must also submit a credit card number with an expiration date of 07/2008 or later. By providing a credit card number, Elite can submit applicants in the New Mexico Draw without having to send any license money up front. You will be billed $6 on your credit card at the time the application is processed. Upon drawing a license, your credit card will be billed either $760 or $535 (depending on the hunt) for your license by the state. Upon drawing a license, a 50% deposit on the hunt is due to Elite Outfitters within 30 days of the draw release date. The remaning 50% balance is due 30 days prior to the hunt. If you fail to draw a license and you wish to receive a refund on your deposit, notify Elite in writing and Elite will refund your deposit (minus a $50 licensing fee, if applicable) within 30 days of notification. Upon drawing a license, all deposits are nonrefundable.

Step 5 - To apply for a Valles Caldera Elk Hunt:
Please enclose a personal check for $500, for each hunter, as a deposit on the hunt. If you are also applying for a regular draw hunt, then only one $500 deposit per hunter is required to apply for both hunts. Each hunter must also submit a credit card number with an expiration date of 07/2007 or later. Your credit card will be billed for $25 per lottery chance by the Valles Caldera Trust. Upon drawing a license, a 50% deposit on the hunt is due to Elite Outfitters within 30 days of the draw release date. The remaining 50% balance is due 30 days prior to the hunt. If you fail to draw a license and you wish to receive a refund on your deposit, notify Elite in writing and Elite will refund your deposit (minus a $50 licensing fee, if applicable) within 30 days of notification. Upon drawing a license, all deposits are nonrefundable.

Step 10 - Everyone must fill out the information below.
To all persons, be it known, that _______________________________________________________________, GRANTOR/HUNTER, does hereby make and grant a limited power of attorney to Johnny Hughes and/or Brian Newell of Elite Outfitters and does thereupon constitute and appoint said individuals as my attorney-in-fact. My attorney-in-fact shall have limited powers and authority to undertake such acts as herein described on my behalf that I could do personally, with full power of substitution and revocation. Granted are the powers to apply such special hunt applications and licenses in the state of New Mexico. My attorney-in-fact hereby accepts this appointment subject to it’s terms and agrees to act and perform in said fiduciary capacity consistent with my best interests as he, in his best discretion, deems advisable, and I affirm and ratify all acts so undertaken. This power of attorney shall be revoked by disability of the Grantor, and shall otherwise continue in full force and effect until revoked by subsequent writing.
